The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed regarding the superior number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office focused on service the area regularly. The provider level made for intervention experiences a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for here the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to allow the servicing of all prospects and boost use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
